Meet Arielle

Posted by in Uncategorized

Well my 5 months of maternity leave are coming to an end – I start back to work next Monday. I am both ready and nervous, but my know-it-all husband claims this was exactly how it was with Elsie, so off I go. Fortunately I am handing over my miniature to Arielle our new nanny (yes, this name goes over quite well with Elsie!) who is amazing.  We are excited to have her with the kids!

Silas despises tummy time – he now just rolls on over to his back, but I did get a few shots of him up on his strong arms … He is Mr. Giggle-pants after the roll

We snapped some photos and then looked back at Elsie’s 4 month apt and were amazed at the similarities (well in looks, Silas is clearly a biggety-big!) Weight: 15lbs 1 oz (70%) Height: 24 7/8 (65%)

This was my first machine applique – I…read more

Happy Halloween Goldfish and Jellyfish!

Posted by in holiday, sewing

This year Elsie requested a Jellyfish costume and trying to keep with the theme of “fish” I made Silas a Goldfish Costume (thanks to Martha Stewart for the pattern) … He wore the costume for a total of 25 minutes (really just to photograph so that I could document that I had in fact sewed him a costume and that the second child was not forgotten). 🙂 Here is the finished costume … the hat is odd, is he a pope goldfish? Silas also agreed that he looked funny ……read more
