We finally got our new B.O.B. jogging stroller – uh does that mean we have to start jogging? Elsie can’t wait!
Elsie had her 6 month check up last week. She is changing so much!
We had more shots this time, Yuck!, but it gave us a cute little look into our bean’s personality - last time we had shots and after a bit of crying we were all ok – this time, it was if we had wounded Elsie and she was ready to milk it. She cried to daddy and then was ok, but when mama looked at her – the spouts turned on again. Oh the injustice!
Here are her stats at 6 months:
weight: 14 lbs 14 oz - 25th %ile
height: 25 1/4 inches – 25th %ile
head: 17 inches – 75th %ile
Uh hullo cutie!
Everything must go in my mouth …
We did a final dress up for Halloween and got ready for our trick or treaters …
Elsie didn’t know what to make of mama in a black wig
She is wondering if Mama black widows eat their young …
Elsie, I mean, Baby black widow waited on the porch to greet the trick or treaters … (she should have dressed up as a lizard)
We had lots of visitors, including one from Meredith who was dressed as a Tulip Fairy.
After some Sweet potato and a bath, baby black widow headed to bead.
Happy first Halloween!
Last weekend grammie, grampa and auntie chloe came to town for a visit which gave us a chance to do some pre-halloween celebrating.
Elsie with Grammie … Orange and Black!
Grammie and I reworked Elsie’s costume after some feedback from Adam (before the legs looked a little too much like bloody stumps).
We got dressed up to attend the block get together – even lola joined in …
and we headed out for the HEY ride that Bernie and Charlie put on for all of the neighborhood kids.
Dad wore the baby black widow …
She tested the weather with her tongue
Aunt Amy made some delicious treats
and Saffron was cuddled up as a kitten dreaming of mwilk.
Yesterday we received a returned package in the mail …
Only took 5 1/2 months to make the round trip from New York back to Colorado … I think we should get our $3 back.
This weekend I made elsie’s halloween costume – a baby black widow and we gave it a quick test run.
Elsie spends most of the time trying to grab the legs off of the body suit and put them in her mouth … hmmm, things I wish I would have anticipated.
Only 2 years after we got our landscaping done, I finally installed some landscape lighting. It’s amazing what a difference it makes in the evenings to have a few spots and path lights installed. Part of the delay was that landscape lighting is so expensive. If you look at kitchler lighting and other vendors, you can spend upwards of $100 per light and we were looking at having 10-15 lights. But after much research, we ended up going with Home Depot supplied Malibu lights ($10-25/light) and just spray-painted the path lighting “hammered bronze” to make them virtually indistinguishable from Kitchler lights costing ten times as much. As you can see from these photos they look quite pleasant providing ambient lighting around our back yard. We did also get our landscaping overhauled recently and had a fountain put in, but that is for another post.
This morning Heather, Robb and Riley welcomed the newest member of the Bergeson family – Miss Finley Lauren.
She weighed in at 7lbs 13 ounces and 19 inches long!!
Here are some pics of the new family (of course Heather is looking like she just walked out of a salon!)
And the proud Grandparents: Nanny and Papa P.D.
We love Finley already and can’t wait to officially meet her soon!!
